45mile Canoe/Kayak Race

Location: San Marcos City Park to Luling Zedler Dam

4 teams, 12 paddlers showed up to race at San Marcos City Park.  The race was started on time, with paddlers leaving City Park at 8am.  The second leg at Staples lake was started before any of the first legs finished so that paddlers could attend a memorial service. The third leg started as planned with each team exchanging the laminated relay baton.

The river was low and riddled with challenges.
